The names of MPs who have yet to undergo mandatory health checks will be made public on the Parliament website, Dewan Rakyat speaker Johari Abdul said.
He said he will display the names of eight MPs, who have yet to conduct their health examinations, by Dec 1.
He told the Dewan Rakyat that a total of 213 parliamentarians and six senators had done their health checks.
“To MPs who haven’t done so, please do it immediately and contact the Parliament clinic,” Johari (above) said before the proceedings began this morning.
In September, he announced that all MPs had to undergo health checks by Oct 31 as a precautionary measure.
He was reported as saying that during his 15 years as an MP, he had witnessed 11 lawmakers collapsing in the august house.
On Nov 7, he postponed the check-ups to Nov 14 after only 196 MPs and five senators in the administration had undergone their check-ups at that time.
