KUALA LUMPUR: Police confirmed today that Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir Jailani, an assistant officer in the community communications department (J-Kom), filed a report regarding a video featuring a person resembling former J-Kom director-general Agus Yusoff and a staff member of the agency.

Selangor police chief Hussein Omar Khan said Wahab lodged the report at 11am today at the Kajang district police headquarters.

He said the case was being investigated by Bukit Aman’s classified crime investigation unit.

Recently, a three-minute-long video showing an online conversation between a man allegedly resembling Agus and another person went viral on social media.

Agus claimed that the video had been edited and lodged a police report regarding the matter.

Separately, commenting on a fight that happened at the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Stadium on Nov 25, Hussein said police are still conducting investigations to identify several more people.

He said out of the 23 detained, nine will be charged tomorrow under Sections 149 for unlawful assembly and 427 for committing mischief under the Penal Code.

“The rest will be released on police bail,” he said.

A 44-second-long video and three photos made their rounds on social media, showing a group of injured people and damaged vehicles after an altercation at the MBPJ Stadium well before the match between Selangor FC and Perak FC. - FMT
