What a show, Dubai....and we had nothing at all to speak of in welcoming 2024 because of our sympathy with the carnage in Palestine; when we could have done something in good modest taste that would have stamped both our support and prayers for Palestine and our hope and prayers for a fair and just world in the New Year...
In Malaysia there were no New Year celebrations anywhere near this scale because of "solidarity" with Hamas. Last week in New York some Islamists demonstrated against Christmas celebrations - also to be in solidarity with Hamas. In London there were similar demonstrations over the New Year.
But obviously not in Dubai.
