SAUDI ARABIA'S RAMADAN RESTRICTIONS ON MOSQUES AND MUSLIMS - THEIR WORLD IS CHANGING

Here is something interesting from Saudi Arabia that should be of interest here in Malaysia.

These

These restrictions in Saudi Arabia actually began last year in 2023.

  • Starting in 2023, the new rules include a ban on donations for mosques
  • and the prohibition of after-sunset iftar meals in mosques.
  • Additionally, prayers are required to be kept brief,
  • children are not allowed to pray in mosques,
  • and worshippers must bring their identification documents.
  • volume levels must be kept low
  • and prayers cannot be broadcast.

  • The new rules include not prolonging the prayers
  • and sticking to certain supplications.
  • It is also recommended to read helpful books about the mosque group.
  • cameras should not be used to take pictures of the imam or worshippers
  • Prayers should not be broadcasted on media.
