PETALING JAYA: Federal territories minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa has pledged to address legacy issues to improve the quality of life for city folk.

Among them are cleanliness and safety around Masjid Jamek and the River of Life area, as well as homelessness, Bernama reported.

She also intends to tackle the influx of undocumented foreign nationals at Jalan Silang and several main roads in the city.

Zaliha, who was the health minister before taking up the new post in a Cabinet reshuffle on Dec 12, took to Facebook today to show several places she visited in Kuala Lumpur to better understand the local issues and problems firsthand.

She also stopped to hear the views and complaints of traders in and around Kuala Lumpur.

“We will work together to improve the quality of life for Kuala Lumpur residents,” she said - FMT
