'Chegubard' pleads not guilty to sedition and defamation charges

KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) information committee member Badrul Hisham Shaharin, better known as Chegubard, claimed trial to two counts of making seditious remarks and defaming His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia today.

The outspoken politician made the pleas after he was charged at the Sessions Court before Siti Aminah Ghazali today.

Earlier, Badrul Hisham, clad in a green baju Melayu and in handcuffs, arrived at the court complex at about 9.20am.

He was heavily guarded by several policemen before being ushered into the courtroom. - NST
