Man suspected of trapping woman killed in public toilet

The body of a 45-year-old man believed to have been stabbed while committing a sexual act was found at a public toilet in Datang Lemang Manek Urai, Kuala Krai last Monday.

According to Kelantan police chief Muhammad Zaki Harun, the deceased was a suspect in a case of wrongful confinement of the woman who stabbed him.

“Based on the investigation, the deceased was with the woman from Sungai Tong in Setiu, Terengganu, and he brought her to a few areas within the Kuala Krai district.

“During the intercourse, the woman stabbed the man in his abdominal area three times. He then tried to run away after the woman managed to escape from him,” he said in a statement today.

The body was brought to Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital and the post-mortem revealed that the death was due to a stab wound that penetrated the abdomen and intestines.

“As he did not seek immediate treatment, the wound had become severe due to bacterial infection.

“He also has prior records involving narcotics and other crimes,” he said.

He added that a 28-year-old woman had been arrested to assist in the case and the police also seized a vegetable-cutting knife from her.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

The police are also investigating the case under Section 342 of the same code for wrongful confinement. - Mkini
