Pahang police take 4 statements over KK Mart attack

KUANTAN: Pahang police have taken statements from four people in their investigation into a petrol bomb thrown at the KK Mart branch in Sungai Isap, here, on Saturday, says state police chief Yahaya Othman.

He said the statements were from witnesses, including the complainant.

Yahaya said police would obtain CCTV footage from the area to assist in their investigation.

“I have asked for increase in patrols at other KK Mart branches.

“In Pahang, there are 15 branches and two storage facilities,” he said at the crime prevention programme at Mahkota Square Ramadan Bazaar here.

Yahaya also asked the public to remain calm and to always obey the law.

On Saturday, the KK Mart branch in Sungai Isap was attacked with a petrol bomb thrown by an unknown person, causing minor damage. - FMT
