PETALING JAYA
Police have resolved a missing person case involving 20-year-old Nur Shafila Suaib, after the woman said she had left her sister’s home in May
to be independent
.

Cheras police chief Ravindar Singh said a report was lodged by Shafila’s sister on May 11 after she left their flat in Cheras the day before and could not be contacted.

On July 16, their mother filed another report in Menggatal, Sabah, saying Shafila called her on June 8 to ask how she was doing but could not be contacted after that.

Police then issued a notice on the disappearance of Shafila, who was a caregiver at a nursery in Desa Petaling, Selangor.

On July 27, Shafila contacted the police after sighting the notice. She then filed a police report in Bayan Lepas, Penang, yesterday to state that she was not missing but had just left her sister’s home to be independent,
