PETALING JAYA: Two operating theatres at Serdang hospital are running around the clock with surgeries after electrical problems at the heart centre led to surgical cases being moved to the main building.

Ummi also said that a contractor, under the supervision of the public works department is looking into the cause of the problem.
The power disruptions led to the temporary closure of the hospital’s heart centre from July 22, four days after the health ministry outsourced cardiothoracic surgery to private hospitals to reduce waiting times.
