GUA MUSANG: Barisan Nasional have successfully reclaimed the Nenggiri state seat with a majority of 3,352 votes in a straight fight against Perikatan Nasional.
The results were announced by the Nenggiri by-election returning officer Nik Raisnan Daud at the Gua Musang district council here.

Rizwadi Ismail (PN-Bersatu) 5,739
Majority: 3,352
Electorate: 20,259
Turnout: 73.88%
BN won 17 out of 20 polling stations: Tohoi, Pos Simpor, Sungai Puian, Sungai Jenera, Sungai Wias, Sungai Asap, Meranto, Bertam Baru, Jeram Tekoh, Renok, Kuala Sungai, Bertam Lama, Star, Perasu, Serian, Limau Kasturi, and Jerek.
PN only won three polling stations: Kesedar Limau Kasturi, Ladang SEDC, and Pasir Tumboh.
Nenggiri, a seat in the Kelantan state assembly, had been won by BN for four consecutive elections since 2004 before losing to PN last year, when Azizi Abu Naim Azizi defeated Ab Aziz Yussof of Umno with a majority of 810 votes. - FMT
