The ministry said the pothole, estimated to be 5m-wide and 1m-deep, was located at the paved area between the entrance and exit of the complex which is used by VIPs arriving at or departing from the airport.

However, a traffic management plan has been implemented in the pothole area.
The ministry also said Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, which discovered the pothole, was investigating whether a suspected sewage pipe leak was the cause of it.
A detailed report will be issued by MAHB when the investigation is completed.
Meanwhile, Berita Harian reported that assessment and repair work on the pothole will commence this afternoon.
