RON97 down by 2 more sen, diesel also lower in West Malaysia

 

PETALING JAYA: 

The price of RON97 will be reduced by two more sen from RM3.42 to RM3.40 per litre nationwide from tomorrow, the finance ministry announced today.

The price of RON97 was last week reduced by five sen from RM3.47 to RM3.42 per litre.

The ministry also said the price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will be reduced by two sen from RM3.18 to RM3.16 per litre.

The price of RON95 will stay at RM2.05 per litre while diesel will continue to retail at RM2.15 per litre in East Malaysia.

These prices will remain in effect until Sept 11.

In a statement, the ministry said it reduced the price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia and RON97 nationwide due to fluctuations in global crude oil prices.

It said the government would continue to monitor global crude oil price trends and take appropriate measures to ensure the people’s continued welfare and well-being. - FMT
