Cops rule out foul play in KL school student’s death

Earlier, the Kuen Cheng High School principal’s office confirmed that one of its students died on its premises and said an investigation was in progress.

Police have ruled out any foul play in the death of a student at a school in Kuala Lumpur yesterday evening.

Brickfields police chief Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said the student fell from the eighth floor of the school’s building and medical officers later confirmed the student’s death.

A report was lodged by a member of the public at 6.59pm.

Following investigations, police found no criminal element and have classified this case as sudden death,
 he said in a statement.

He urged the public against speculating on the incident.
