In Pahang, the number of flood evacuees rose from 1,282 this morning to 1,415 in the afternoon.

The situation, however, improved in Perak, Kedah and Johor with fewer flood victims still at shelters as of this afternoon.

In Perak, the number of evacuees dropped from 1,682 to 1,013, while Kedah’s flood victims decreased from 1,490 to 1,387.

There are only 15 people still being sheltered at a relocation centre in Johor, compared with 197 earlier today, with three relief centres closing today after victims were allowed to return home.

Separately, The Star reported that floods had also hit the Papar Hospital in Sabah, disrupting services at the government hospital.
