Woman escapes unharmed after tree falls on car in PJ

PETALING JAYA
A 33-year-old woman was rescued by fire and rescue personnel after a tree fell on her car near the Taman Megah LRT station here this evening.

The Selangor fire and rescue department said it received a distress call at 7.39pm and eight personnel, along with two fire engines, were deployed from the Damansara station.

“The woman, who was inside the vehicle, was extracted by the rescue team unharmed and handed over to her family.

The operation was completed within an hour,
 it said in a statement.

The meteorological department had earlier issued a warning that thunderstorms were expected across all states until 9pm on Friday.

The warning indicated that seven districts in Selangor, along with all of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, are anticipated to experience thunderstorms. - FMT
