Police said the driver of a pickup truck had surrendered himself 13 hours after it rammed into a motorcycle ridden by a couple.

Police said the couple, riding a Honda Wave 125 motorcycle, were on their way from their home in Durian Tunggal to a restaurant in Balai Panjang.
The motorcycle had stopped at the traffic light junction at about 11pm when it was rear-ended by a Mitsubishi Triton coming from Malim heading towards Bachang.
The pillion-rider, Roslinah Sinan, 53, was killed, while her husband, Hisham Omar, 57, suffered severe injuries, said Melaka Tengah police chief Christopher Patit.
He said the driver of the pickup truck was not injured and fled the scene after the collision. A man has been arrested and held in custody pending a remand application tomorrow. - FMT
