Selangor menteri besar Amirudin Shari says the issue was resolved last Thursday.

Amirudin said the pump station had previously malfunctioned due to a delay in electricity supply from Tenaga Nasional Bhd.
He said the problem was resolved last Thursday when the power supply was reconnected, allowing the pumps to function properly.
“Alhamdulillah, the pumps are now working again after the matter was resolved by TNB.
“We saw no flooding in Taman Sri Muda despite heavy rain lasting at least two hours in the area last Saturday,” he told reporters after an event in Shah Alam today, Utusan Malaysia reported.
On April 14, FMT reported a spokesman for Taman Sri Muda residents, Umagandhan Krishnan, saying that two newly-built water pumps in the area had failed to operate properly during the recent bouts of heavy rain, resulting in floods on April 11.
He said pump station workers told him that only the older pump was working.
On Sunday, more than 500 residents from Taman Sri Muda, Bukit Kemuning and Batu Lapan gathered in Shah Alam for a peaceful protest over the flood problems plaguing their neighbourhoods.
Determined to ensure Amirudin received their memorandum for a permanent solution, a busload of residents travelled to Ayer Kuning to meet with Amirudin who was there for the state seat by-election campaign.
Amirudin on Sunday said he had asked Selangor’s infrastructure and agriculture committee chairman Izham Hashim to immediately identify and implement follow-up action, including engaging with the residents and reviewing the state’s flood mitigation measures.
He said his political secretary Saifuddin Shafie would convene an emergency meeting on Monday involving all relevant agencies, including the Shah Alam city council and the irrigation and drainage department, to ensure an urgent and coordinated response.
The menteri besar today said that the state government was also addressing related issues such as the functionality of sluice gates and drainage systems.
“We’re also reviewing the performance of all local authorities to ensure they don’t neglect their duties in updating information or maintaining assets and drains,” he said, adding that a special task force had been set up by the Selangor government to handle the matter. - FMT
