KUALA LUMPUR: Perlis state legislative assembly speaker Rus'ele Eizan is scheduled to hold a press conference at the Speaker's Office in the Seri Putra Complex, Kangar, today.
The press conference, set for 11am, is believed to be related to the decision by Pas to expel three assemblymen from the party, effective immediately following the meeting of the Pas Central Working Committee that convened yesterday.
Berita Harian reported the notice for the press conference was issued by the stare assembly assistant secretary of the on behalf of the secretary obtained by the media this morning.
Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang was reported as saying that the decision was made based on Article 76 and Article 15A(1)(b) of the Pas Constitution (Amendment 2025). - NST
