PAS central committee member Annuar Musa has predicted that a BN-Perikatan Nasional cooperation in the Malacca polls could lead to a victory of at least 24 seats.
However, the former Ketereh MP cautioned that the election strategy must be tailored to the state.
“The challenge is how to put together a solid understanding… It depends on the wisdom of the BN and PN leadership to find a winning formula, God willing,” he said in a statement last night.
Newly minted Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Ismail Lasim is mulling a proposal to create deputy exco positions, as was first done in Johor recently.
According to Bernama, he said the number of positions has yet to be determined.
“We may not be able to place all the elected representatives in the exco, so we are considering creating deputy exco positions for several portfolios that I think are important," he said at Wisma Negeri, where he clocked into the menteri besar’s office for his first day today.

Suhakam is deeply concerned over the Court of Appeal's decision to uphold the stay of the High Court's orders relating to the investigation into the alleged enforced disappearance of Pastor Raymond Koh.
While reiterating its respect for the judiciary, Suhakam said further delays in implementing the High Court's orders will prolong the search for justice in a case that has remained unresolved for more than nine years.

The government is considering imposing a levy on electric vehicles to fund the expansion of the public EV charging network, Bernama reported.
Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Johari Abdul Ghani reportedly told the Dewan Negara that the proposal is being studied because the government is facing constraints in financing a nationwide public charging infrastructure on the scale seen in China.
