College student falls to death from 22nd floor of Setapak condo

 CCTV footage shows the first-semester victim returning to his condo unit at 7.07am.

An 18-year-old college student has died after falling from the 22nd floor to the sixth floor of a condominium in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur.

Wangsa Maju police chief Annas Sulaiman said a security guard alerted the police at 8.50am after discovering the body this morning at Residensi Teratai on Jalan Langkawi.

He said CCTV footage showed the victim, a first-semester student at Universiti Geomatika Malaysia, had returned to the condo unit provided by the university at 7.07am.

He was then seen falling from the 22nd-floor corridor.

“The victim was confirmed dead at the scene. The case has been classified as sudden death and further investigations are being held to complete the probe,” Annas said in a statement.
