Cops nab teacher suspected of hitting student, slapping boy’s mum

 The 54-year-old man was arrested yesterday after the student’s mother lodged a police report.

Police have arrested a teacher suspected of hitting a 14-year-old student and slapping the boy’s mother in two separate incidents in Pasir Mas, Kelantan.

Pasir Mas police chief Mazlan Hassan said the 54-year-old suspect was arrested yesterday after the boy’s 42-year-old mother lodged a police report.

He said the incident involving the student occurred at a secondary school on Tuesday, while the incident involving his mother occurred yesterday.

“Yesterday, the boy’s mother met the teacher to discuss the incident involving her son, during which the teacher allegedly slapped her.

“The suspect was arrested shortly after the police report was lodged and remanded for three days from today to assist in investigations,” he was quoted by Bernama as saying today.

Mazlan said the case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means. - FMT
