The incident occurred at 3.43pm, when the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call through the NG999 line.
A Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue spokesman said six personnel from the Hang Tuah Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the shopping complex in Jalan Tun Sambanthan following the distress call.
"Operations commander PBK I Che Mohd Solehuddin Che Jusoh led the team of firefighters to the scene and safely removed the girl's finger after some intense moments," he said in a statement today.
