BN and Perikatan Nasional have yet to discuss extending their political cooperation to the 16th general election, said Umno vice-president Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail.
Berita Harian reported the Pahang menteri besar saying that the immediate priority was to strengthen the new Negeri Sembilan state government following the state election.
“We have not discussed that matter yet. For now, we will settle matters in Negeri Sembilan first, and only after that will we discuss other issues.
“Perhaps after that, we will look at developments in Malacca,” he reportedly said after an event in Temerloh today.
Earlier today, PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari said that BN and PN’s continued alliance may eventually lead to the two coalitions establishing governments in every state in Peninsular Malaysia.
A 13-year-old girl was among seven individuals arrested to assist investigations into an armed robbery involving a knife at a residential unit in Jalan Ampang last Friday.
Wangsa Maju district police chief Annas Sulaiman reportedly said that apart from the teenager, the other six individuals, comprising five men aged between 22 and 38 and a 19-year-old woman, were arrested at a parking area on Jalan Metro Pudu at 3am yesterday.
He said the arrests followed a report by a 21-year-old man who claimed four unknown men armed with knives robbed him while he was at the residence.
“All seven individuals have been remanded to assist investigations under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code for gang robbery involving weapons,” Bernama reported him saying in a statement today.
Syarikat Air Terengganu Sdn Bhd (Satu) has reported 134 cases of stolen water meters in Kuala Terengganu and Marang within two days, and the company suspects the incidents could be linked to an organised operation.
ADSIts chief executive officer Abdul Karim Endut said the thefts, which began in July, occurred mainly in residential areas and included newly installed meters.
Bernama reported him saying that the sudden and simultaneous nature of the incidents suggested the perpetrators intentionally targeted the equipment, although the motive remains unknown.
Karim said Satu has lodged police reports and will work with the authorities to address the issue, adding that while the direct financial loss from each stolen meter was below RM200, the thefts had a wider impact by disrupting water supply services and causing unnecessary water wastage. - Mkini
