Wawasan to focus on inclusivity, jobs, education and transparency

KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Wawasan Negara (Wawasan) will prioritise efforts to build a more inclusive and progressive Malaysia, citing employment, education and institutional transparency.

The party's high council member Datuk Simon Suresh V. said its recent performance in Negri Sembilan, together with its allies in Sabah and Johor, reflected growing public interest in accountable leadership and governance focused on the welfare of the rakyat.

"The outcome signalled voters' confidence in a direction that emphasises unity, principled leadership and fair representation," he said in a statement today.

He said the party was also reaching out to a broader cross-section of society, including inviting members of the Malaysian Indian community to take part in its political movement.

Simon encouraged greater participation in national development and decision-making, adding that the party welcomed people from diverse backgrounds, including youth, professionals, entrepreneurs and grassroots activists.

"Leadership should be guided by service, integrity and results," he said. - NST
