The MCA president says his party has been making early preparations for GE16 instead of leaving things to the last minute.

Wee said MCA had been making early preparations for GE16 instead of leaving things to the last minute, Bernama reported.
He pointed out that the federal government typically does not complete its full five-year term and called for election several months before the term expires.
“At this time, I feel there are only several months left. Maybe four to five months (before GE16 is called),” he was quoted as saying.
Asked on an Umno division’s proposal for MCA to make way for Umno to contest the Kluang seat in GE16, Wee said the suggestion could be discussed at the grassroots level.
However, he maintained that the central Barisan Nasional leadership would make the final call.
“What’s more important is that if BN places a candidate, that’s the candidate who will represent BN,” he added. - FMT
