KUCHING: A total of 54 primary schools and nine secondary schools in the Bintulu and Tatau-Sebauh district will be closed for five days due to haze, with pupils carrying out their studies at home.
The state education department said the decision to close the schools was made based on continuous monitoring of air quality, with pollution readings reaching the ‘very unhealthy’ level at 8pm today.
