PKR Youth deputy chief Nabil Halimi has called on Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and his party leaders to clearly state their position if they genuinely believe the 16th general election should be held earlier to obtain a fresh mandate.
ADSIn a Facebook statement, Nabil (above) said Umno ministers and MPs should not appear to have “one foot” in the government and “one foot” in the opposition - embracing Perikatan Nasional at the state level while continuing to hold positions in the federal government.

Ahmad Zahid Hamidi He added that as long as the Madani government retains the confidence of the majority of MPs, it should use the remainder of its mandate to pursue reforms, strengthen the economy and address the people’s problems, and that their mandate should not be used as a bargaining tool.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has pledged that the Indian community will not be sidelined, saying the Madani government would step up efforts to improve access to financing, strengthen the Malaysian Indian Community Transformation Unit and expand opportunities in entrepreneurship and Technical and Vocational Education and Training.

Anwar Ibrahim He said more opportunities would be created for young people through mentor-mentee programmes, while access to financing for Indian entrepreneurs would also be widened as part of efforts to raise the community’s standard of living.
In a Facebook post, Anwar acknowledged that gaps remained, particularly in poverty, citizenship and access to government assistance, and said these issues must be addressed quickly and effectively.
He also called on ministries and agencies to improve coordination and service delivery to ensure government allocations and policies reached their intended beneficiaries and resulted in tangible improvements to their lives. - Mkini
