TNB meter reader loses tooth in attack by 2 men

 Police said he also sustained injuries to his head, face and hands when he was attacked after a 'misunderstanding'.

A TNB meter reader lost his tooth when he was assaulted in Cheras yesterday, and also suffered injuries to his head, face and hands. Police said two men were arrested today for the attack.

Kajang police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof said the attack took place after the meter reader saw his colleague and called out his name. “There was a misunderstanding and an altercation with two suspects,” he said in a statement.

Naazron said police arrested two men, aged 28 and 35, in the Batu 9 Cheras area. Both suspects have a record for criminal and drug-related offences. Police also seized an item believed to have been used to injure the victim.
