PETALING JAYA:
Police have detonated three mortar bombs found in a village in Dengkil, Selangor.

Sepang police chief Norhizam Bahaman said police received a report at 3pm yesterday from a man who discovered three objects resembling mortar bombs while sorting scrap metal from a roro barrel outside a house at Kampung Dato Ahmad Razali, Dengkil.

Police inspection confirmed that the three objects were mortar bombs, with two measuring 60mm and the other 81mm. The police’s bomb disposal unit then moved them to a safe site for detonation.

“The unit detonated the bombs at an open construction site in Dengkil at around 9.20am,” Norhizam said in a statement.

He advised the public not to touch, move, or approach any objects suspected of being explosives, and to contact the police if they discover them. - FMT
