PETALING JAYA:
Police arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly tailing a police convoy escorting deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on the Shah Alam Expressway (Kesas) this morning.

Kuala Lumpur traffic police chief Zamzuri Isa said the incident occurred at Km48.5 of the highway at about 9.30am as the convoy was travelling from Kajang to Sunway Medical Centre in Subang Jaya.

He said the driver of a Honda CR-V was warned by a police outrider against following the convoy but ignored him and continued to tailgate the convoy.

“The driver is believed to have continued following the convoy in a manner that could endanger the safety of the convoy and other road users,” Zamzuri said in a statement.

The driver was arrested and his vehicle was seized. - FMT
