His special officer, Norakmalina Abu Kassim, says doctors confirmed that he had not suffered a heart attack and advised him to rest for 24 hours.

Wawasan MP Azahari Hasan initially sought treatment at the clinic in the Parliament building before doctors called for an ambulance.
PETALING JAYA:
Padang Rengas MP Azahari Hasan was rushed to the National Heart Institute (IJN) in Kuala Lumpur after he suddenly broke into a sweat and felt unwell while attending a Dewan Rakyat sitting today.

His special officer, Norakmalina Abu Kassim, said doctors confirmed that he had not suffered a heart attack and advised him to rest for 24 hours.

She said Azahari is now in good condition with no serious issues detected following further examinations.

“His condition is also stable at the moment,” she was quoted by Sinar Harian as saying.

Norakmalina said Azahari complained of feeling unwell and began sweating at about noon.

She said Azahari initially sought treatment at the clinic in the Parliament building before doctors called for an ambulance. The ambulance subsequently took Azahari to IJN for further examination.

The Wawasan MP is expected to be discharged tomorrow morning.

This incident comes a day after party colleague Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal was rushed to Kuala Lumpur Hospital for emergency treatment.

Wan Fayhsal’s private secretary, Wan Meor Safwat Naqiuddin Shamsudin, did not disclose the MP’s diagnosis but said he was in stable condition and had been advised to rest until he fully recovered. - FMT
