This is Thailand's multi-talented, highly accomplished and beautiful Queen Suthida. The latest feather in her cap is getting her jet fighter wings when she successfully flew solo a Saab Gripen fighter jet of the Royal Thai Air Force. Flying a jet fighter takes significant training, skills and commitment. She has done it at 48 years of age. Extraordinary.
Her husband HRH King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand was present to see her take off and land. Upon landing there was a small ceremony where HRH the King pinned the Gripen badge on the Queen. The King then presented the Queen with a bouquet of flowers.
The Queen Suthida is well known in Thai society as a strong advocate of Thai traditions. Traditions means you have your own history.
