KUALA LUMPUR: Sultan of Brunei Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah visited former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at the National Heart Institute (IJN) here yesterday.
The visit was shared on Dr Mahathir's official Facebook page, which said the Brunei ruler had visited the 101-year-old former prime minister at IJN on Oct 4.
Dr Mahathir was admitted to IJN on Sept 29 for observation, a day after his wife, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, died at the same hospital at the age of 100.
On Oct 1, his son, Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, shared an update on his father's condition, saying it was better for Dr Mahathir to remain at IJN for now as being at home would remind him of Dr Siti Hasmah. - NST
