Tumpat mosque door smashed, liquid poured on carpet

 A foul-smelling, greenish-brown liquid was poured on the carpet in the prayer hall during the incident yesterday morning.

Police are tracking down a man suspected of vandalising a mosque in Tumpat, Kelantan, yesterday morning.

Tumpat police chief Khairi Shafie said the mosque’s glass door was smashed and a foul-smelling, greenish-brown liquid was poured on the carpet in the prayer hall, Harian Metro reported.

CCTV footage showed a man whom police believe may be linked to the incident at Masjid Al-Aziz Al-Hadi in Kota SPP Warisan.

The case is being investigated under Sections 295 and 427 of the Penal Code for defiling a place of worship and causing damage to property. - FMT
