The stops are at KL Sentral, Tanjung Malim, Tapah Road, Kampar, Ipoh, Kuala Kangsar, Taiping, Parit Buntar, Bukit Mertajam, Butterworth, Bukit Mertajam, Sungai Petani, Alor Star, Arau and Padang Besar.
The fare is RM80 one way.
The train from Kuala Lumpur to Padang Besar departs at 9.30am and arrives at3 pm while the train from Padang Besar to Kuala Lumpur departs at 4pm and arrives at 9.15pm.
The Ipoh-Butterworth-Padang Besar Transit ETS, which commenced on July 10, stops at all 24 stations.
The 10 new stations are Anak Bukit, Bukit Ketri,Bukit Tengah, Kamunting, Kobah, Kodiang, Padang Rengas, Simpang Ampat, Tasek and Tasek Gelugor.
The fare is RM23 for Ipoh-Butterworth and RM21for Butterworth-Padang Besar.
Departure is at 5am and arrival at 6.50am for Ipoh-Butterworth; 7.30am and 9.15am for Butterworth-Padang Besar ; 2pm and 3.45pm for Padang Besar-Butterworth; and 5pm and 6.50pm for Butterworth-Ipoh.
Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) Bhd, in a statement today, said for the time being, there was only one train in each direction for both services and that the frequency would be increased when the new trains were operational.
