NAJIB Razak is not aware of any plot to remove Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad through a vote of no confidence as claimed by PAS.
“I don’t know anything about it. I can’t comment on it.
“There are so many stories out there on this, but the fact is that I am not aware of it,” he told reporters after meeting the people in Semenyih today.
Earlier this week, PAS said in a statement that Dr Mahathir had given the party the impression he was the victim of a conflict brewing within Pakatan Harapan.
PAS said the PH chairman hinted there was a conflict or “clash of titans” among component party leaders over his leadership.
Dr Mahathir said he would wait and see if PAS leaders would support him as promised in the event of a vote of no confidence.
Last week, PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said party leaders had promised to support Dr Mahathir if there is a no-confidence vote against him in Parliament.
Earlier today, PKR president Anwar Ibrahim lashed out at PAS for lying about the so-called vote of no confidence against Dr Mahathir.
