Police tracking down escaped Covid-19 patient from Tampin Hospital

A Covid-19 patient had fled from a ward in Tampin Hospital, Negeri Sembilan yesterday.

The police are currently tracking down the 33-year-old man, who was a former inmate at Jelebu Prison.

It was noticed that the man, whose last known address is in Petaling Jaya, was missing from his hospital bed at about 11.45am yesterday, as reported by Bernama.

“Cooperation and information from the public are needed. If the subject is spotted or detected, please contact any nearest police station or Health Ministry,” the Tampin district police also said in a Facebook post last night.

The Tampin district police chief Anuwal Ab Wahab said the patient was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark green T-shirt.

Previously, another 24-year-old man believed to be positive with Covid-19 had escaped from the Penang Hospital on Nov 15.

He was eventually found by police in Bayan Lepas the same evening. - Mkini
