KUALA LUMPUR: An earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale struck Mersing, Johor at 9.43pm Thursday.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department said in a statement here that the earthquake epicentre was located 16km east of Mersing.
Minor tremors were felt in the surrounding areas, the statement said. - Star
