Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak today visited four victims, including two members of the media, who were injured during yesterday's riot, at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital here.
Najib arrived at the hospital at 5pm and spent about 20 minutes with Mohd Nasir Abu Mansor from Kuala Lumpur Traffic police and Mohd Kamil Paimin from Terengganu police contingent, as well as with Al-Hijrah cameraman Mohd Azri Mohd Salleh and The Sunreporter Mohd Radzi Abdul Razak at Ward 15.
Present were Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein and Inspector-General of Police Ismail Omar.
During the visit,Mohd Radzi said the prime minister also promised to help the police to investigate and track down the suspects who had beaten him up severely during the riot.
Mohd Radzi, 28, said about 15 men had beaten him up when he was trying to stop another policemen from being tortured by the protestors.
"I can identify those who had beaten me up from a video recording," he said.
Meanwhile, Mohd Azri said he and his partner were severely tortured by the protestors who were wearing red-coloured shirts at the Mara Complex in Jalan Raja Laut.
He said the protestors also kicked his back and stomach.
