Technical scare as AirAsia flight turns back to Penang

The flight was rescheduled and landed safely at Langkawi at 6.30pm
penang_air asia_300GEORGE TOWN: An AirAsia flight from Penang to Langkawi returned to base 10 minutes after take-off today with “technical problems”.
An airport spokesman said flight AK6242 took off at 4.30pm and was scheduled to land at Langkawi at 5.05pm. However, it returned to Penang after 10 minutes, reporting technical problems.
The flight was rescheduled and landed safely at Langkawi at 6.30pm.
AirAsia, which suffered the loss of an aircraft over Indonesia earlier today, were tight-lipped over the Penang incident.
