D’Herbs to be unveiled as sponsor of Kedah football team

D’Herbs Healthy Sdn Bhd is almost certain to be unveiled sponsor of 2015 Premier League champions Kedah in the Malaysia League this year.
Its founder, Aliff Shukri Kamarzaman, said discussions with the Kedah Football Association (KFA) and Menteri Besar Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah had been fruitful.
“We are 99.9 percent sure of being the sponsor of the Red Hawks (Kedah team) and are waiting for the KFA to decide on a few things. No condition such as jersey or new paint for stadium.
“If the KFA make a decision soon, we will complete the sponsorship process to boost Kedah football,” he said when met after the match between Kedah and Kelantan at the Darulaman Stadium in Alor Setar last night.
D’Herbs chose Kedah because they are impressed with the spirit and unity of the supporters who come from all over the state to catch their favorite team in action.
Talk was rife that D’Herbs wanted to withdraw from sponsoring Kedah during the menteri besar crisis. They were resumed after the crisis ended.
On the proposed tagline, ‘terlajak goal’, Aliff Shukri said D’Herbs would leave it to the KFA and Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) to decide on the matter.
Kedah beat Kelantan 2-1 in a Super League match last night.
The Red Hawks scored via Carlos Eduardo (67th min) and Mohd Syafiq Ahmad (81st min) while the Red Warriors’ only goal was scored by Indra Putra Mahayuddin (29th min).
