Azalina urges Felda community to support gov't

The Felda community must realise that supporting the opposition in its bid to overthrow the government would not be to their advantage, said Azalina Othman Said.

"They would potentially lose benefits they had been enjoying all this while because Felda might be one of the first organisations that the opposition would possibly shut down if they take over the government.

"Hence to ensure that they would obtain more benefits in future, they must continue to give their full support to the present government," said the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department.

She said the settlers should consider themselves fortunate as other communities outside Felda do not get such privileges.

"But I believe, the others would not resent the settlers as they are aware of the hard work put in by the latter to help spur the economy," she said.

Azalina said this when launching the 'Majlis Rahmat Ramadan' and presentation of contributions to single mothers and orphans at Dewan Felda Semenchu in Kota Tinggi yesterday.
