Lagu Untuk Hari Raya

Lets forget about the crooks for a while. I hope they take a break from thievery and go away on holiday too. 

Salam to all my friends out there (and enemies too ha ha).  Tis the season of the Hari Raya again. Tomorrow is Hari Raya. Wishing everyone a Selamat Hari Raya.  

Firstly to those of you who endured one month of fasting and are looking forward to the Hari Raya which signifies the end of the fasting and secondly to those of you of other beliefs who will also be going on holidays, spending time with your families and such.

To all of you 'Selamat Hari Raya'. 

Wherever you go drive safely. Drive at steady speeds. Avoid speeding. 

If the roads are jammed be patient. If someone cuts in, just give way. Malaysia boleh lah. Make some space for others. (But dont cut into other peoples' lanes all the time. Put yourself in the other persons shoes too.)

And please spread this message.  We are all in it together folks.

This is your holiday. Your time is limited and your commitments are precious. Spend timewith people who care for you. Do not waste your time with people who do not care for you.  Remember this as well.

Our Hari Raya this year is special. Our boys and daughter are all with us. (Son has finished his two year 'tour of duty' in Sabah and is home).  The elder may be making some tracks soon.  So this year is special. Another phase, another threshold, another window and another beginning.

So here is my lagu Hari Raya for this year. An old classmate posted this. 

Its the wonderful and beautiful Welsh songbird Mary Hopkin.  She first sang this song 48 years ago in 1968 when she was 18 years old. (I was eight at that time).
