NAJIB CHICKENS OUT ON SNAP POLLS IN 2017: EXPECT REDELINEATION TO BE FULL-STEAM AHEAD

KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has dismissed speculation that he will call for general elections before the expiry of his Barisan Nasional (BN) government’s mandate in 2018.
Najib said he opposed calling early elections before the deadline, adding that such a decision should not be based on “any single factor”.
“We rest on our record. We have a strong record and we will continue to tell the Malaysian people that our government is still the best choice,” he was quoted by international news wire Reuters telling a news conference in Berlin, Germany.
