Former education minister Mahdzir Khalid was grilled for more than eight hours by the MACC today over the RM2.5 billion solar energy project for Sarawak's rural schools.
It is learnt that he arrived at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya at about 10am and only left at about 6.30pm.
He is expected to be present there again tomorrow at 9am for another round of questioning.
The Umno leader was previously questioned by the graft-busters on Oct 16 over the same issue.
Rosmah Mansor, the wife of former premier Najib Abdul Razak and her former aide Rizal Mansor are already facing several charges involving the same project.
It was reported in early June that there were possible irregularities in the award of a contract for the RM2.5 billion solar hybrid power project following orders from a former senior leader of the country.
Education Minister Maszlee Malik was earlier quoted this month as saying that the “many skeletons” of his predecessor would be revealed. - Mkini
