MALAYSIA NEEDS A PROPER EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM TO FIT THE COMMERCIAL REQUIREMENTS

The Education Ministry (MOE) seems to propose many new things, like black shoes and now it proposes to make it mandatory for school pupils to complete until SPM/Form 5.

The MOE does not seem to care that our education standards are deteriorating. There is no effort to address these shortcomings. School pupils after SPM are unfit in the commercial sector due to lack of language and knowledge that is required in the respective fields.

Private school are mushrooming with bigger intake of students. In time to come, government schools may have to close or merger with another nearby school.

Why is this happening?

Government schools spend too much time on Islamic religious teachings and fail to realise that a student should be well equipped in Science, Mathematics, Computer studies, English and Bahasa Melayu if they want to excel or gain broader knowledge for themselves.

which give an in-depth view of our current deteriorating educational situation in our government schools.

Rather than addressing these issues, the Education Minister and his deputies seem to brag about things that does not make a student to excel in life.

Its time our Education Minister and his deputies look at the broader side and face facts that useful proper educational system is required in government schools if we want Malaysians to fit into the employment requirements of the business circle. - Mohd. Kamal Abdullah
