I receive plenty of mail from my readers. Thank you all very much. They give me information from the ground. I have received two more letters - both about education. One is from a parent in Kelantan (Part 1 here) and another from a school teacher in Pahang (Part 2).
Here is Part 1 :
Salam Tuan Syed. Just to inform you
My daughter just got into Form 1 in this school in Kelantan. Sekolah Menengah ... I was quite surprised when they said the school only accepts black leather shoes (no canvas) AND must have all white shoes for PJ (pendidikan jasmani).
So yesterday the teacher asked all the Form 1 students to wear only white shoes (for today). And if only 1 student did not wear white shoes they will punish the whole class and no PJ just because of that one student. (This is publicly shaming the students, threatening and bullying).
So Maszlee's policy of "jimat duit mak bapak" for school shoes and "kasut tak kotor" because it is black has been tong sampahkan by the little napoleans.
I mean for Pendidikan Jasmani wearing full white shoes surely will get dirty.
For me its not a big problem because I am from the middle income group with just 2 children. But for the B40 group, surely this is a problem and they will blame PH again. Now they have to buy 2 sets of shoes minimum (one pair black leather and one pair of white shoes) and they still have to clean the white shoes too for one child.
And dont get me started on the shaming and bullying students on aurat and religion. Now they are forcing students to solat hajat pagi and solat zohor everyday after school. So 20-45 minutes after school time wasted. By right they could go home early. That does not include the doa panjang-panjang and singing the asma al husna etc2. Aisey its getting worse under Pakatan Harapan.
All this is done UNOFFICIALLY. If the menteri sends someone to check, they will not find anything wrong.
Please advise some high people tuan, to fix this problem on the ground.
Tq kind Sir.
My comments : This is for Dr Mahathir's note. This disaster has been going on in Malaysia for the last 30 years. This is beyond Stage Four cancer. You cannot use a surgeon's knife to remove these cancers. You need high explosives - dynamite, C4, things like that.
The biggest problem here is the exceptionally incompetent Maszlee Malik.
Maszlee Malik is STILL the President of the University Islam Malaysia. He has announced resigned and his last day was supposed to be last 31st December. But Maslee Malik is still the president of the UIA.
When discussing this matter (about his NOT leaving the UIA yet) Maszlee is believed to have told someone 'I want to show them who is the Boss'. So he is still the president of the UIA.
The black shoe policy was inspired by Maszlee's own lazy habits - he said black shoes will not get dirty. That is just stupid. Black shoes will get dirty but it cannot be seen as easily because the shoe is black. This is what Maszlee meant. The black colour will sort of 'cover up' the dirt. So you can still walk around in dirty shoes but the dirt will not be seen as easily.
Meaning tak payah lah cuci kasut. Biar kotor saja. Ini ikut style Salafi atau ikut Sunnah style apa?
The letter above from this parent in Kelantan says that his daughter who is in Form 1 this year has been forced to buy both black and white shoes - the white being specifically for Jasmani (sports).
Surely white shoes will get super dirty during jasmani. I can personally vouch for this. So where is the idea that black shoes can "hide the dirt"?
And now poor parents must buy two pairs of shoes for every child - a pair of black leather shoes which are very expensive and a pair of white canvas shoes.
And the following part is what creates a whole generation of dungus :
- shaming, bullying students on aurat, religion
- forcing students to solat hajat pagi, solat zohor everyday after school
- 20-45 minutes after school time wasted
- By right they could go home early
- does not include doa panjang-panjang, singing asma al husna etc
- its getting worse under Pakatan Harapan
Sekolah kebangsaan have become religious concentration camps. But only for the Malays.
Malay society has many obstacles that it has placed on itself.
The worst are the shackles imposed by the religion.
And these shackels are being clamped on the people by the education system.
And Tun Dr Mahathir, you have appointed a religious moron to be the Education Minister. Please remove this guy immediately.
You cannot expect a tikus to fix the labu.
Its not just the wrong person for the job.
This is the worst person you could have picked.
The guy is incompetent. There is a general consensus on this.
If he stays longer it becomes your fault for not doing the right thing.
