Zahid Hamidi guna JHEV KL untok sabotaj Najib?

Rasanya strategi Mahathir menekan Najib bermacam-macam cara,, terkini Zahid Hamidi yang berangan nak jadi TPM jika Muhyiddin jadi PM buat hal lagi nak memperdajalkan Najib...

Kesian beb,,, pergi cek tekan mesin ATM... naheee..... kena kencing....... Pagi semalam jumpa aku, mencebek bibir sedih bagi tau tak masyuukkk....

Kemudian petang,, dia mai cari aku lagi.... dia tunjuk kat aku SMS terbaharu... wakaka.... ha ha ha...

Ni mungkin jawapannya kemana duit KWSP anda disapu BN

Kaki putar alam betul...
Apakah pula pendapat anda?

- kerajaan rakyat

UMNO Cepat Berkubur Bila Polis Terus Bertindak Berat Sebelah & Tidak Profesyenal

#KL112 mencatatkan sejarah tersendiri.

Akhirnya semua berjalan sempurna.

Mitos menyatakan pertukaran parti pemerintah merosakkan negara perlu ditinggalkan. Semua negara maju sering bertukar kerajaan.

Dr Mahathir Fires A Scud

Tun Dr Mahathir  Mohamed was at a wedding reception last nite along with the creme de la creme of KL. Earlier in the day the Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak was in Kedah to have final discussions with the boys in Kedah about the upcoming general elections.

The issue of who is to lead Kedah and who should be the candidates in Kedah must have been discussed.

I was talking to an informed friend at the wedding reception last nite and heard something most interesting.  He said that Dr Mahathir had told reporters that if Najib does not deliver enough seats, then Muhyiddin Yassin must take over the reigns. Something must be irking Dr Mahathir.

PM Najib is working very hard, going all out and really reaching out to the people. Most importantly he seems to genuinely have the peoples' interests at heart. The public has turned towards him in big waves. The Prime Minister's popularity is quite unparralleled.  No one else in Government or in the Opposition has such widespread popularity.

The saying is if this were a presidential election, the PM would win hands down. Therefore in terms of preparing for the elections the PM is working very hard. There is no doubt about that.

The economy is growing at above 5% pa. Unemployment is below 4% (about 3.7%). There is much more activity in the economy. Most of the listed companies are reporting profits and have expansion plans in store. The construction industry is getting to hum quite well. Palm oil is still holding steady despite the small issue with China.  Things are moving. The dark clouds on the economic horizon seem to be clearing away.

From a "going into the elections" point of view what then could be not 100% rosy and peachy? I think the only unknown factor will be the selection of candidates for the elections.

This is also the factor where the PM has the greatest headache and where he also wields the maximum influence. We must also note here that the MIC and MCA (the two major components of the BN on the Peninsula) do not have serious winnable candidate issues. Neither does Gerakan but I dont know if they are still in the picture.

The biggest problems about the candidates relate to UMNO on the Peninsula and in Sabah. This is where if wrong choices are made, then the PM could be possibly handing over the reigns to the DPM Muhyiddin Yasin.

The choice of candidates is very tricky because if someone is not chosen, then they may engage in sabotage and work against the party.

My view is the threat of sabotage from within is not a major issue. The more critical problem is "sabotage" by the voters if the wrong candidate is nominated.

Jurassic Park dinosaurs (and they were present at the dinner last nite as well) are not going to win votes from the people. And their presence in one constituency is also going to have a negative impact on all other candidates in all other constituencies.

Coming back to Kedah, there is also much talk that some people from across many state boundaries are trying to sabotage Mukriz Mahathir's chances in Kedah. They fear that if they do not sabotage Mukriz, then their own plans may have to be postponed by 10 years, 20 years or more.  We do not need these types of people either.

The PM knows all these issues. I do hope he makes the right choices.

Is Malaysia's monarchy “above politics”?

Contributors
monarchy-politicsSpeaking at the launch of a book on the Malaysian monarchy, Malaysian prime minister Najib bin Razak said that the Malay Rulers “are above politics” (see ‘ Najib: Constitutional monarchy fosters stability, prosperity ’, The Malaysian Insider, 30 Jan 2013).
He said that the Malaysian monarchy “provides a solid foundation” for turning Malaysia into a high-income nation.
To be above politics means to not interfere in the political workings of the country and to take no sides in party politics.
To act as a foundation to the economy so that Malaysian citizens enjoy high incomes means abstaining from and disapproving the undemocratic use of the public's wealth and resources.
So is the prime minister's statement about the Malaysian monarchy true?
The evidence paints a different story.
A Negri Sembilan prince clarified that the royalty have and do participate in party politics and gave five examples (see ‘ Response to statements by Tunku Aziz and Anthony Loke ’, The Malaysian Insider, 29 Jan 2013).
In his biography of Mahathir Mohamad, Malaysian Maverick (Palgrave-Macmillan, 2009), Barry Wain speaks about how the sultans of the nine states had “sometimes played politics, leveraged their positions for financial gain and indulged in fairytale-like extravagance at the public expense”. Although the sultans were “not meant to engage in commerce, they were actually so deeply involved that they were resented by the business community”.
Roger Kershaw's Monarchy in South-East Asia (Routledge, 2001) states that “in return for secure wealth and status”, the Malaysian monarchy gives the ruling Malay elite a "more traditional kind of legitimacy” by proxy, in what is said to be an “important but unwritten 'social contract'” in contemporary Malaysia.
On this political relationship, associate professor Azlan Tajuddin in Malaysia in the World Economy (1824-2011) (Lexington Press, 2012) claims that when the constitutional article on royal immunity in 1993 was removed, “the real aim” of the government of seeking “full control of the monarchy" was “to ensure that the Malay royalty continued to serve a political function in preserving Malay electoral support for UMNO”. The author says it should not be surprising “to find some of the sultans publicly generating support for UMNO or admonishing those who have been critical of the party”.
He explains: “For the royals, the reward for subservience to the party [UMNO] would also sustain continued enjoyment of unsurpassed advantages... Several members of the the Malay royalty... have found their way into UMNO's circle of crony entrepreneurs... Many royally-run businesses have resulted in numerous bankruptcies... [but] as long as the Malay rulers remained staunch UMNO supporters, they would be assured their businesses stayed operational and are given access to lucrative commercial ventures”.
Fadzilah Majid Cooke's The Challenge of Sustainable Forests: Forest Resource Policy in Malaysia, 1970-1995 (Allen & Unwin, 1999) notes that between 1987 and 1990 alone, the Pahang royal family was awarded logging concession licenses totalling 18,723.82 hectares (or 187 square kilometres) of forest.
In illustrating the “growing economic nexus in the ruler-executive relations in virtually every Malay State”, Kershaw links the “[Pahang] Sultan['s] eager taste for timber concessions” to “being 'genuinely' consulted... over the appointment of Chief Ministers” and the need for a “malleable” Chief Minister to expedite or bend rules in the “processing of land alienation at preferential rates”.
Tajuddin claims that “[i]n 1981, the Sultan of Pahang and some members of his family had allegedly gambled away massive amounts of taxpayer money within days of an outing at an overseas casino. When the state government refused to settle the debt, the state's chief minister, Rahim Bakar, was forced to resign from office. UMNO resolved the issue by... replacing the minister with a more amenable candidate, who expeditiously helped in clearing the sultan's gambling dues. In return, the sultan has remained a strong and loyal advocate of UMNO, especially during elections”.
Tajuddin supplies another example: The Sultan of Perak's eldest daughter Eleena is “a major controlling shareholder of Gamuda, an UMNO-linked construction company... [and] among Malaysia's top 40 millionaires in 2011”. He adds that “[t]his has provided reasonable grounds for Malaysians to speculate on the connection between the Sultan of Perak's family fortunes” and the dislodgement of Pakatan Rakyat's state government headed by ex-chief minister Nizar Jamaluddin.
According to The Economist (2 May 2009), Nizar "had been removed, not as is usual in parliamentary systems, by his elected peers but by the Perak sultan", Azlan Shah, "ignoring an appeal from [Nizar] to dissolve the house". The outcome favoured UMNO.
These pieces of information indicate a long-standing royal-political-business collusion.
If these academic sources are correct, it means that the Malaysian monarchs are not “above politics” in spite of appearances, and that the monarchy's impact on the public's economic welfare and rights is questionable.

The Indian dilemma - short memory

I bought the Hindraf DVD outlining its blueprint for the betterment of Indians on Thaipusam day and watched it along with my mother. My mom always watches the programme Vizhuthugal on Astro Vaanavil and TV2 Tamil news where BN blows it’s own trumpet that it is a caring government doling out goodies and the proposed national celebration of Ponggal. I stopped listening to and reading mainstream news a long time ago whilst my mother depends on it for information of the goings on.

Basically, in that DVD, Hindraf outlined its six-point blueprint during the group’s fifth year anniversary celebration last November. With all that said and heard, one day my mom came up to me and said that BN seems to care for Indians with all the feel good festivities organising and goodies galore and told me that she would vote for BN since BN seems to have repented. She is also sizably concerned about riotous skirmishes that might take place if PR takes seat in Putrajaya.

Now, this is the problem of Indians here, the Indian dilemma, prevalent especially among the aged and those in rural areas, my mother included. We tend to settle for temporary provisions and succumb to gratification when our festivals are given hype. We have a short memory and are driven by gratitude which is knowingly preyed on by the ruling coalition. And, fear mongering is another factor that would make unthinking Indians become BN’s vote repository again.

The dilemma of Indians here is that they are happy if they are given a fish a day rather than learning the skill of fishing and upgrade the skill in order to develop themselves and BN is capitalising on this stumble of ours. This trait alone befits the claim that Indians are pathetic beggars. Why get angry when others call us beggars when we act like beggars?

Indians here don’t have ahead of time and critical thinking. Our kids don’t get seats in public universities scholarships despite being more than qualified, their spirits, crushed, ambition, quelled, potential and capability, repressed and yet for a meager RM500, a packet of rice, few cans of sardine and other groceries and a nationwide Ponggal celebration and we are more than willing to lick the boots of BN goons and cast our votes to the very political entity that denied our existence and our contribution to the building Malaysia for the past 55 long years.

These goodies galore and the celebrations are nothing but kiss ass gestures to gain the canvass of the Indian community back for BN. We must ask ourselves, why only now BN has come up with the term Nambikei and is giving us a literal yet non sustainable windfall? What were they smoking in the period of 55 years of rule? Why only after failure of getting 2/3rd majority is BN paying attention to Indians and why is the handouts parcel executed so close to the general election?

Is it because they had a sudden enlightenment? Is it because they have turned over a new leaf and sincerely want to serve the Indian community? No! BN is doing this for its own political survival and this Nambikei thingy and the splurge are their 11th hour attempts. It is do or die. Najib wants to preserve his position as PM; that is his only motive.

If Najib is truly sincere to uplift the Indian community sincerely he should have implemented long term nitty gritty uplifting policies and supplementary monetary aid the minute he got sworn in as our PM, in genuine. -mi1

APA AGENDA SHAFIE 'BELI' NAZMAWATI?

Saudara Pengarang,

Salam Hormat,

GAMBLING MACHINES IN SANDAKAN

Dear Editor,
I WAS wondering if those Gambling Machine Centres (no signboards) are licensed? Because I can see the way they operate, there is no different from the local licensed Slot Machine Centres like cityclub, club1 or Ultimate (which pay income tax). Which authorities should enforce this kind of activities? Do they pay income tax? And you going to be surprised the number of gambling machine centres around here in Sandakan, school kids change uniform before they go to the these centres.
Best Regards,

PANDIKUTI LATIFF MENGAKU PATI DAN AGEN HARAM?

Saudara Pengarang,

Kita ikuti sedutan Laporan daripada Malaysiakini;

Nasir: Saya dengar kerajaan beri anugerah (IC biru)

Jamil: Bagaimana awak tahu?
Nasir: Saya dengar dari rakan-rakan saya.

Jamil: Apakah dokumen sokongan yang anda gunakan?
Nasir: Tidak ada.

Jamil: Walaupun akuan bersumpah?
Nasir: Tidak.

Jamil: Adakah awak ada sijil kelahiran?
Nasir: Tidak.

Nasir menerima kad pengenalan biru dalam masa dua bulan selepas membuat permohonan. Dokumennya hanya pasport India.

"Saya seorang ahli Kongres India Muslim Malaysia Sabah.

Kita ikuti pula Laporan Borneo Post'

KOTA KINABALU: An immigrant from Tamil Nadu, India said he did not protest when a National Immigration Department officer stated in his identification card application form that he was born in Sabah, as he just wanted to be a citizen of this country.
Nasir Yusof @ Latif, who came to Sabah with his uncle in 1982, said he could barely understand Malay when he applied for the identification card in the late 80s and he was just grateful that his application was approved.

“I think it is not for me to say if it (the action of the officer) was right or wrong, but of course the information (my place of birth) was not right because I was born in India; but I didn’t think too much about it at the time.

“I was very young, I have no education and I could not write in Malay, so the officer helped me fill the form. He asked if Berungis was okay and I just said ‘yes’ because I like Malaysia a lot and just wanted to be a citizen here.

“Besides, I knew the place. I often went there with my uncle to get supplies for his shop, and I also have some relatives residing there,” he said when testifying before the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on illegal immigrants, yesterday.

According to the conducting officers, the background information under Nasir’s IC incorrectly stated that his place of birth was Berungis, Tuaran.

His IC also carries the code number “12?, which identifies him as a Malaysian citizen born in Sabah.

The 51-year-old, now a considerably successful businessman, said he did not understand the law or any of the procedures involved in applying for an IC or citizenship in Sabah at the time.

The man, who is married to a local woman from Tambunan and with whom he has a child and operates several restaurants and other businesses in the Kota Kinabalu, informed the Inquiry that he was in Kota Marudu when he learned from relatives that the Malaysian government was awarding citizenship to those who wished to be Malaysian.

After hearing the news, Nasir said he went to the Kota Marudu NRD office and found about a thousand others fellow immigrants from India, Pakistan and several other countries queuing up to apply for ICs.

“Most of us did not have any education and the officers had to help us with the application form. I was asked to pay RM12, that was all,” he said when asked whether there were any parties who asked them for payments for the ICs.

He also said ‘no’ when the Commission asked if the applicants applied for the document after being told to do so by any individuals or parties other than by their own relatives.

He also informed that he did not produce any birth certificate or any other supporting documents for his application as he was asked only to give his fingerprints and several copies of his photograph and to sign the completed application form.

According to him, he received his blue IC about two months after submitting his application.

“I did not ask the officer to put Berungis but he did, so I just accepted it,” said Nasir, who has upgraded his blue IC to the high quality identification card (KPT) and then later, to the latest version of the Malaysian IC.

Nasir said he initially came to Sabah with an Indian International Passport but never applied for any extension throughout his stay in the State.

He said he surrendered the Indian passport to JPN after getting his IC and applied for the Malaysian International Passport instead, which he had used to travel to India to visit his elder sisters still living there.

“I never applied for any other documents. I didn’t know anything about this, I just followed my employees. Maybe one of them has taken care of it but even if he did, I have no knowledge of it.

“No one has ever checked or asked me about my document because I was mostly in the rural areas, in the villages, but when people went to apply for the IC, I went to apply too,” he explained.

Asked if he had registered as a voter after getting his IC, he said he had his name listed three years after getting the blue IC and had voted three times since then.

As to whether he knows if he has dual citizenship in Malaysia and India, he said: “I have no citizenship in India sir, I have no documents and I cannot vote there, I can only vote in Malaysia. I vote here in KK; unfortunately the last time I voted, the candidate (I have chosen) lost.”
Eleven other witnesses testified during the Inquiry yesterday, bringing the number of individuals called before the Commission to 49, so far.

This included Sabah PAS Youth Chief Lahirul Latigu, whose background had been questioned by certain quarters, online.

Lahirul’s testimony agreed with the conducting officers’ remarks that he is a Sabahan born from a mixed-marriage of an Indonesian father and a Murut mother.

Other witnesses included Indonesian and Filipinos detainees currently awaiting deportation in several temporary detention centres in Sabah.

Also called to testify were immigrants with proper documentations and legally working in the State.

The proceeding will resume today and scheduled to be concluded tomorrow. The commission will study all evidences and prepare their findings and recommendations by June.

Berikut ikuti Laporan daripada Malaysian Insider;

"Saya undi tapi calon saya kalah.

Nasir menafikan tuduhan blogger bahawa beliau masih mempunyai kad pengenalan India.

Beliau turut membaca Rukunegara, tetapi terdapat beberapa kesilapan.
