Hati-hati Para Isteri ,Jangan Sampai Jadi Nusyuz Tanpa Sedar

Sekadar hiasan

(Hadis riwayat al-Bukhari)

Teachings Of The Rasul

I have received feedback that lately I have been writing less about politics and also hitting the gomen less. Maybe it is because of the month of the hot and dry season now. In Arabic the "month of the drought" would literally be 'shahru ramadan'.

(I am referring to the literal meaning of the words only ok - not what we already understand from the derived meanings. Please differentiate between the literal meanings and the derived meanings of some words, they may not be the same. Here is an example : Grass is a plant, hopper is something that hops. But 'grasshopper' is an insect.)

Anyway, because of some of the debate going on in the public arena right now, this post is meant for the Muslim readers. However the non Muslims can also read this, though you may find this a tad boring.

Lately many people are commenting on Dr Mahathir's recent writings pertaining to Islam and the Quran. This is good. No matter what or who you are, please feel free to say what you want to say. Imagine if someone tells you 'Shut up. You cannot speak.' That will not be Islam. So in the same light allow others to say what they want to say.

The Quran says,

Surah 39:18 "They are the ones who examine all words, then follow the best. These are the ones whom Allah has guided; these are the ones who possess intelligence."

It is intelligence to listen to all views. Therefore we should not stop people from speaking up - no matter how stupid we think they are. Let them talk, even the stupid ones. And then we must follow the best of what we hear. Our intelligence will tell us what is right and what is wrong.

For example your intelligence will tell you that marrying your own biological daughter is a wrong thing to do. Even animals know that. But some religious people have said that, under very strange circumstances, it is ok to marry your own biological daughter. Here they have outdone the animals.  And the Quran recognises these people :

Surah 7:179  "We have committed to the fire multitudes of jinns and humans. They have minds with which they do not understand, eyes with which they do not see, and ears with which they do not hear. They are like animals; no, they are far worse - they are totally unaware."

So should we stop these people from saying such stupid things? I think we cannot. It is their right to be as stupid as they want. But we must exercise intelligence to weed out what they say.

Anyway coming back to Dr Mahathir's statements about the Quran, a lot of things that have been said to rebut Dr Mahathir are based on ignorance of the Quran.

So today I want to share with you some of the teachings of the Rasul. Now when I say teachings of the Rasul, here I am referring the Quran. All Muslims must agree that the Quran is the teachings of the Rasul. If any Muslim does not believe this, then you are not a Muslim. You become Anti Quran. You become a kafir.

So here are some teachings of the Rasul from the Quran (Surah 69 : 38 - 52)

69:038  I swear by what you see.

69:039  And what you do not see.

69:040  This is the utterance of an honorable messenger.

69:041   Not the utterance of a poet; rarely do you believe.

69:042  Nor the utterance of a soothsayer; rarely do you take heed.

69:043  A revelation from the Lord of the universe.

69:044  Had he uttered any other teachings in our name (walaw taqawwala alayna ba'ada alqaweeli).

69:045  We should certainly seize him by his right hand,

69:046  And We should certainly then cut off the artery of his heart

69:047  Nor could any of you save him

69:048  This is a reminder for the righteous.

69:049  We know; some of you are rejectors.

69:050  It is but sorrow for the disbelievers.

69:051  It is the absolute truth.

69:052  Therefore, you shall glorify the name of your Lord, Most Great.

The teachings of the Rasul in the Quran clearly says that had the Rasul said anything else and attributed it to Allah, then the Rasul would have been punished quite severely.

69:044  Had he uttered any other teachings in our name (walaw taqawwala alayna ba'ada alqaweeli)

Here are some other teachings of the Rasul. Interestingly these two verses or ayaat here mention the word 'hadith' in the Arabic text. Hadith means narrations or stories. Do bear this in mind.

Surah 39:23  "Allah has revealed herein the ahsana alhadeeth (best narrations); a book that is consistent, and points out both ways. The skins of those who reverence their Lord cringe therefrom, then their skins and their hearts soften up for Allah's message. Such is Allah's guidance; He bestows it upon whoever wills. As for those sent astray by Allah, nothing can guide them."

So in this ayaat, the Quran calls itself the "ahsana al hadith" or the best narrations

So Muslim folks, if the Quran calls itself the "ahsana al hadeeth" do you want to uphold anything else that is NOT 'ahsana al hadeeth'? Do you think that is a clever thing to do?

And here is something else. If the Quran calls itself 'ahsana al hadeeth', then how can the people who uphold the Quran be labelled 'anti hadeeth'?  Can explain ah? Tengkiuu ah.

Surah 45:6  These are Allah's ayaat that we recite to you truthfully. In which narrations (fa bi'aiyyi hadeethin) other than Allah and His ayaat do they believe?

This is a challenge from Allah and the Rasul in the Quran. Other than Allah and His ayaat, in which other narrations or hadith do they believe?

So how are the Muslims supposed to answer this challenge?

For those of you who are confused, ini bukan saya cakap. Ini Al Quran yang cakap. Jangan marah saya ok.

For those who understand Arabic "fabi ai'yyi hadeethin ba'dalaahi wa aayatihi yu'minoon" - so how do you answer? It will be interesting to hear your views. Be factual. No bullshitting.

Finally here are more verses from the Quran, your own Quran, which you read sing song, sing song fashion at the Tilawah Al Quran. This is what YOUR Rasul has taught you.

68:036  What is wrong with your judgement?

68:037  Do you have another book to uphold?

68:038  In it, do you find anything you want?

68:039  Or, have you received solemn assurances from us that grant you whatever you wish on the Day of Resurrection?

68:040  Ask them, "Who guarantees this for you?"

If you uphold other books, who guarantees them for you? You can find anything you want in those books. But who guarantees them for you?

Why would anyone say that you can marry your own biological daughter?

Maybe my friend Aspan will ponder these as well.

Kalau kamu benar-benar ikhlas, saya mahu tanya satu soalan, mengapa kamu menjadi syaitan bisu didalam kes Anwar Ibrahim?
Kerana agama? Kerana Islam? Kerana Allah?
Hipokrit besar kamu kalau kamu kata ianya kerana Islam, kerana Allah. Sebenarnya kerana nafsu politik kamu! Sebenarnya akibat kebencian meluap-luap kamu kepada sesama Islam! Sebenarnya kerana nafsu amarah kamu sendiri!
Adios amigos, grasias.

KAJANG - NOTHING TO DO WITH INDIANS.

P Wythmoorthy being sworn in courtesy of UMNO
Wytha calls for Kajang to be turned int a referendum for Indians, how can one be more stupid.
How can you have a referendum of the Indians in a constituency that has only about 10 per cent Indians and who do not even make up one percent of the total Indian population of the country.

That is Persatuan Hindraf Malaysia (PHM) chief P Waythamoorthy's logic.

Now do you see a chicken running around without a neck?

At the onset of his decision to back the BN I sad this man was nothing but a political opportunist, and I was not far wrong.

He told the Indians the greatest Tamil story, and I am surprised that to this day no one has taken it to make a movie of it.

Both Uthay and Wytha, were gunning to become the "leaders of the Indian Community" within the BN when it became apparent that Samy's tenure was coming to an end.

This could not be done by trying to overthrow Samy from within the MIC, as Samy had locked all the doors and there was no way they could get into fortress MIC as it was all Samy's, so they had to find an alternate route.

In UMNO Indian bashing was the order of the day, we had Toyo go on a rampage destroying Hindu temples, and what UMNO does both MIC and MCA can't stop, it is the privilege of UMNO, in fact it was not even to be questioned, so the temple destruction went unabated.

The Samy who had taken on Mohammed Taib during his heyday, and who told him "Mentris Besar come and Menteris go," and I can't be expected to listen to all of them, seemed helpless with what Toyo was doing.

Many Indians felt he was in cahoots with Toyo, but that was not the case it was actually the fact that he was trying but (like I said what UMNO wants to do it does and both MCA and MIC or for that matter any BN component can't stop,) that he could do nothing that made his opponents capitalise on the temple issue to gain support.

When you play with religion you get a whole people against you and this was the sentiment that HINDRAF used to catapult themselves into the lime light.

This was the opportunity to show a confused and ignorant Badawi that it was they HINDRAF who had the support of the Indians and not MIC and that would be a sure ticket for them to claim Indian representation and get Badawi to listen to them and cast MIC aside.

Now to actually display this strength they had to bring the Indians to town innumbers that woudl get everyone sitting up and watching, and to do that in full force they had to have a good story and so the greatest Tamil story was concocted by HINDRAF.

They were going to March to the office of the British High Commissioner to present a letter to the queen demanding that all Indians in this country be compensated RM1 million, for after all it was the British who brought these Indians into the country as Indentured labour, and then left them here without any guarantees in the granting of Independence and as a result these Indians continue to live in a marginalised state.

One million ringgit? Why most of the people who turned up never even held RM5 thousand in their hands at a single time, and this was 1 million ringgit, it was worth fighting for.

The million ringgit story did the trick, almost every mother's son in the Tamil Community came down to Kuala Lumpur, they were willing to be gassed, to be sprayed with chemi
cally laced water for a cause, and that cause to them was the million ringgit.

It must be admitted that it was that single event that had the greatest impact on the 2008 elections, it was that event that shook the Barisan to the chore and instead of capitalising on that event both brothers decided their personal interest came first.

The blow dealt to Barisan in 2008 saw an unprecedented number of Indians in Parliament and State assemblies. That to agreat extent that was the doing of this HINDRAF rally cannot be denied, that the BN lost its foothold in Parliament can be attributed to this cannot be denied, but the HINDRAF leaders as we can see today were not in this for this, they were in it to replace MIC in government.

They Indians who made it to Parliament were not there on the Indian vote, they were there because they were the most suitable for office and not even because they were Indian, but because they were Malaysians, they were voted in mostly by the Chinese and the Malays and the some Indians you find in every constituency in the country, as no Indian can win a single seat in this country counting on the Indian vote alone it is not possible as there are no Indian majority constituencies.

After that entire fiasco instead of joining forces with the opposition by actually joining the parties in a joint struggle for a fair playing field these two brothers continued with their Indian politics, the dream of representing the Indians in a government that divides and rules, they were bent on being the "New Samy."

Uthay began making demands for specific allocation of seats to the HINDRAF, the HINDRAF split there was Makal Sakthi and HINDRAF and everyone wanted to jump the band wagon, even the two brothers split with each other, one decided to go it alone and lost his deposit in the last elections, the other decided to throw his support behind Najib for whom Najib had to arrange special protection when he went on campaign trail.

After getting into Parliament on charity accorded by Najib and UMNO and Wythya was in no position to make any demands legitimate or otherwise, after all, all that he had now was on charity and beggars they say can't be choosers, it was what everybody expected, take your seat, take your money and shut up.

After they way they behaved prior to the allocations bargaining left right and centre they no one actually took them seriously, not even the Indians, the majority of the Indians had discarded them, they feltthat it was not worth supporting them and UMNO is fully aware of thisso why give serious consideration to what Wytha demands?

If he had gone to Parliament on a PKR or DAP ticket that is if he played his cards right he would have been able to make demands and put pressure on the Government, the government would take him more seriously, as they would have realised and acknowledged HINDRAF as a body that could really shake them up, but after all these wheeling and dealing, with him accepting a ministerial position whilst his brother was jailed no one took him seriously.

For all the good intentions he might have had his approach and his strategy were all fouled up, he even lost the support of most of the Indians who supported him, many who say, "he turned his back on his own brother."

He was totally subdued in government by UMNO and we all saw that, so is this move of his only temporary, is it a subtle attempt to deceive the Indian voter again, will Najib promise a handout to the 10 per cent Indians in Kajang at the last minute to swing the vote, and will this man then go back to government at a more alleviated level for having served his masters so well. After all that is the function of the MCA, MIC and all BN components to serve UMNO and get individually rewarded.

The Kajang Indians must realise, like every Malaysian should, be more Malaysian and less Indian, Chinese or Malay for therein lies our future.

Issues should not be confused, it is an election, Anwar is standing in Kajang, there is discord in PKR, but being a democratic party it is transparent so you get to see what is happening, it is not hidden under the carpet. Disagreement in democratic political parties are common, and Anwar being he defacto leader has to find a way to settle it.

As I see it Anwar is trying to strike a balance between both Khalid and Azmin and hence this move. It will not be a loss for Selangor, to have PM material run the state it can only get better.

PKR's issues are not hidden under the carpet that is what democracy is all about, and most supporters of the party will be glad that it isn't.

Khalid's decision to take on Azmin for the position of Deputy President must be lauded, Khalid has made many admirers both in the party and outside, if he wins which is very likely looking at the sentiment, it may spell a new and more dynamic era for the party something PKR must have.

Maybe Khalid has to be dropped from the MB position it will make him a more astute politician, and a better leader, these are the trying processes in building the kind of leadership we require for the nation.

In the meantime the people of Kajang have to be aware, and remain focused on the real issues effecting them, the BN has never done anything for the people but to bankrupt the states and Municipal treasuries, the present government of opposition states have brought these states and Municipalities back into the black, the funds are there to begin developing so stay focused and do not get fooled by the BN.

Kajang is not an Indian refewredum as I said earlier, it is the town that will bury Najib Wytha's boss, he is deflecting the issue, if Kajang is lost to the PKR Najib must step down, after all he lost the popular vote at the last elections and that means the majority of the voters voted against him, it is only because of the way the constituencies are aligned that he won.

By losing the popular vote he lost the moral authority to rule, now if he loses Kajang a town just next to Putrajaya he has to go and that is what UMNO is brewing for him and rightly so.

Kajang has nothing to do with the Indians it will determine Najib's fate.

Teresa gets FIERY warning from Malay group: APOLOGISE within 10 days or else...
KUALA LUMPUR- Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM) Selangor has demanded that Teresa Kok apologise for her "Onederful Malaysia CNY 2014" video clip.
In issuing the Seputeh member of parliament the ultimatum, JMM president Omar Saleh said Kok had 10 days to make a public apology.
"JMM Selangor also urges the government to revoke Kok's citizenship," he said after handing over a memorandum at Kok's office in Seputeh.
Omar said JMM Selangor members would hold a demonstration in front of Kok's office if she failed to issue the apology within the allocated time.
The non-governmental organisation, in voicing its disapproval of the video clip, said Kok and the three actors in the video had provoked and insulted the nation's leader and his wife.
"We have seen that even Chinese society and professionals had criticised the video," he said
Omar also said DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng, who had leapt to Kok's defence, should rein her in instead of defending her actions as an act of freedom of speech.
Kok, who was not present at her office yesterday, when contacted said the memorandum was a form of threat to her.
She said the video clip was not an insult to the government or those killed during the Lahad Datu intrusion.
"I never insulted any government leader or mentioned the Lahad Datu case in my video clip. What do I have to apologise for?" she said.
Teresa Kok, the Seputeh member of parliament, has 10 days to publicly apologise for her ‘Onederful Malaysia CNY 2014’ video following an ultimatum issued by Jaringan Melayu Malaysia president Omar Saleh (right) yesterday.

Second Penang Bridge chalks up several firsts

To be opened by Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak tonight, the longest bridge in Southeast-Asia boasts of several engineering feats
2nd penang bridgeGEORGE TOWN: It is billed as the longest and most modern bridge in the region. Costing an estimated RM4.5 billion, the Second Penang Bridge has chalked up several ‘firsts’.
By the time, it is opened by Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak tonight (March 1), around 10,000 motorists will be lining up to drive through the 24km-long bridge, the longest in Southeast-Asia.
There are also several engineering feats on the curvy bridge which links Batu Maung on the island with Batu Kawan on the mainland.
One is the ability to withstand a minor earthquake and the curved road design discourages drivers from stopping their vehicles along the route.
This is also to prevent those with suicidal tendencies from jumping off the bridge. There are also 33 CCTVs and 15 electronic boards for safety and security reasons.
However, the Second Penang Bridge may not function as effectively as envisioned after it was learnt that four road projects to disperse traffic from the bridge have yet to be completed.
This may lead to mounting congestions on both ends of Batu Maung and Batu Kawan.
Jambatan Kedua Pulau Pinang Sdn Bhd (JKPP)’s managing director Dr Ismail Mohamed Taib said there is possibility of jams because the upgrading of the feeder roads have yet to be completed.
His view was shared by State Local Government and Traffic Management committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow who said authorities may need to mobilise more personnel to coordinate traffic flow.
Congestion reduced
The uncompleted projects are the upgrading of Jalan Permatang Damar Laut, building an elevated highway from the bridge along the Lim Chong Eu expressway to the Queensbay Mall and widening of roads from Bayan Lepas to Teluk Kumbar as well as a dispersal link from Bandar Cassia in Batu Kawan.
The projects are expected to be completed next year. This has irked former Batu Uban assemblyman S Raveentharan, who said the bridge should be opened when the feeder roads are completed.
“Now, it may cause more congestion, especially since many folks will eager to try out the new bridge. I wonder if the narrow roads can withstand the flow,” said Raveentharan.
“Once again, the relevant authorities are unable to conduct proper planning or possess the foresight to realise issues such as congestion,” he added.
The bridge will likely become a permanent asset for Penang, but if it attracts more congestion than ever, the people here, who are wary of the daily gridlock, may not warm up to the giant infrastructure.
Meanwhile, outspoken Penang Malay Congress president Rahmad Isahak, said the bridge revolved around two packages.
“Perhaps bureaucracy or politics have seeped in, as only the package of the bridge is ready, while the others, such as the feeder roads have yet to be completed.
“Ideally, both packages should be ready at the same time,” said Rahmad. “We appeal to the federal and state sides to expedite the completion as it is no point in having another bridge which is congested.
“We are just shifting the traffic jams to another area, we are not resolving it holistically. There is a need to ensure that congestion is reduced as road users are getting fed up with the rate of jams.”

Health Ministry: Be wary of heat stroke

Health Ministry director general urges the people to reduce outdoor activities and drink at least 2.5 litres of water daily.
Dr Noor Hisham AbdullahKUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry has called on Malaysians to be alert towards early signs of heat stroke in the wake of the current hot and dry weather.
Its director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah told Bernama heat stroke happens when the body temperature exceeds 40.5 degree Celcius.
A normal human being’s temperature is at 37.0 degree Celcius.
“Among the early symptoms of a heat stroke are a throbbing headache, nausea, lack of perspiration despite the hot weather and a fast pulse.
“Other signs are weak muscles, spasms, vomiting, dry and reddish skin and seizures and blackouts,” he said.
Noor Hisham said the high temperature invited complications to the nervous system of the brain, which could result in coma and could cause death.
The Meteorological Department, prior to this, had said the hot and dry weather in the country currently was worse than last year and was expected to continue until mid-May.
Noor Hisham said prolonged exposure to the hot weather, not drinking enough water and dehydration were among the causes of heat stroke.
As such, he suggested placing anyone suffering from a heat stroke in a shaded and cool area.
“The high temperature can be reduced by placing the victim under a fan and wiping his body with a wet towel.
“The patient can also be placed in a pool of water to reduce his temperature and cool him down,” he said.
Noor Hisham also urged the public to avoid leisure activities under the sun and to drink a large quantity of water, at least 2.5 litres a day.

The ‘traitor’? – Tay Tian Yan

Finally, some senses have come back again to the Selangor water supply issue. The federal and state governments have struck a deal and signed a MoU.
If lucky enough (hopefully not another six more years), people from Kajang through Balakong could look forward to unstoppable water gushing out of the tap.
Thanks to the tussle between the federal and state governments over the past six years, the Langat 2 water treatment plant (LRAL2) project has been made to lie idle on the drawing board. The result? Perennial water woes in the country's richest state.
There has only been one reason. The state's water supply issue has been made the primary battleground in the confrontation between both governments, just like two enormous rhinos fighting so hard to force out the other. In the end, none of the giant rhinos gets hurt, but the grass under their feet has been squashed to death in their stead.
The MoU is not a very complicated one. Selangor will take out the cash to acquire four water supply companies in the state and put them under the full jurisdiction of the state government. In the meantime, the federal government will get the green light from the state government to initiate the LRAL2 project and bring to fruition the splendid water transfer project from Pahang to Selangor.
If things go smoothly, water shortage will become a thing of the past for Selangor.
Neither the federal nor the state government would lose out in the deal, although the residents of Selangor will eventually emerge as the biggest beneficiaries.
If you are still sceptical of "national reconciliation," this is going to be an excellent instance of it, I guess.
Politicians should lay down their confrontational stands and sit down to talk. A small gesture of compromise will not hurt any party in any way, but will deliver the people out of their plight.
As a resident of the state, I can't help but to give a big thumbs-up to menteri besar Khalid Ibrahim for getting the MoU signed. Khalid is a very pragmatic guy whom many say is like a CEO that thinks in a macroscopic way.
Sure enough there are others who fail to see his sincerity in signing the MoU, especially with the BN's big bosses standing behind to witness the signing ceremony. Party loyalists would start jumping out to hurl curses at Khalid for betraying Pakatan without even making the slightest effort to understand the content of the MoU.
Both Anwar Ibrahim and Rafizi Ramli said they and their party had not been briefed beforehand.
Khalid's "collaboration" with BN, especially as the by-election war is now raging in Kajang, will take one issue out of the race, giving Anwar one reason less to be the MB. If Khalid is not the traitor then what is he?
To be fair to Khalid, he is the menteri besar and what he was dealing with was a state matter which should only be made accountable to the people of Selangor, not Khalid's party. He only needed to secure the state legislative assembly's consent, not the party's. As for whether Anwar or the party's "strategy director" should be briefed earlier, I personally do not think it necessary.
If Anwar becomes the next Selangor MB, he should be happy he will have one trouble less, unless he has some other things in mind.
He also will not need to worry he has one reason less to be the MB, as he will still have 99 others in his pocket.
The Selangor water issue should be tackled separately from the Kajang by-election. To be honest, if the water issue is resolved amicably, Pakatan could even expect a boost in its chances in Kajang.
Unfortunately, given the current pathetic state of political ecosystem in the country, clear-cut confrontation seems to prevail over the interest of the public or the so-called national reconciliation, which could be very dangerous. – mysinchew.com

Car tried to ram me, says crimebuster Sanjeevan

After recovering from a near death experience from gunfire, anti-crime activist R Sri Sanjeevan yesterday complained of being tailed by a car after checking a vice-den in Negri Sembilan.

Sanjeevan (left in photo) said he returned to Bahau yesterday afternoon from his home after getting a tip-off that some students visit a vice-den there.

“I went to the place at about 4pm, and upon arriving there, I noticed that a Perodua Kancil car was watching us.

"We drove around and saw the car tailgate us and the driver wagged his middle finger at me.

“My driver then sped off but the car still followed us for about 20 minutes around town.

“At a corner, my driver left me by the side of the road without the suspect seeing, and I saw the Kancil car still tagging my car.

Driver dodges tailgate

“My driver claimed that the Kancil had tried to ram into my car,” said the anti-crime activist.

“However, his driver managed to race off,” he said.

Sanjeevan, who was MyWatch chairperson said he tried to call the Bahau police station, and the police operations room and the District Police chief several times to alert them over the incident.

However, there was no response

He now remains unsure whether to lodge a police report over the incident despite PKR de-facto leader Anwar Ibrahim advising him to do so.

Sanjeevan was shot in the chest in Jempol, Negri Sembilan last July after receiving death threats for his crime prevention efforts.

He spent months recuperating from the wound in a hospital.
